30 photographers  will be selected to have their work exhibited at the international photographic art exposition Photo La  for its 24th year at The REEF, located in the historic LA Mart building in downtown Los Angeles, January 15 - 18, 2015.  A beautiful design and bound collector’s catalogue will be printed. In addition winners also receive a 5 week exhibition at the Artists Corner Gallery and be considered for a future solo show.


The Jurors:


Art Perry Associate Professor in Critical and Cultural Studies. Over a five-year period Art traveled the Himalayas to nomadic and monastic communities in Tibet, India and Nepal. The result was his Penguin Putnam publication, The Tibetans, which was awarded the $50,000 Roloff Beny Photographic Book Award. Art has recently completed a book about his Cold War experiences entitled Radar Boy and is currently writing on the black paintings in the Mark Rothko Chapel, Houston, Texas. Art’s 2012 travelling photo exhibition ‘HIP! Portraits of Cool’ contained over forty portraits of counterculture icons including Lou Reed, Joe Strummer, Patti Smith, Werner Herzog, Dizzy Gillespie, Nick Cave, Spalding Gray and Ed ‘Big Daddy’ Roth.


Damian Kindler is a seasoned screenwriter and director.  Most noted for creating the ground-breaking television series SANCTUARY on Syfy Channel, Damian is also one of the founders of Sanctuary For Kids, a charitable foundation that has since raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for children in crisis around the world.  Currently Damian is a Co-Executive Producer for the television series SLEEPY HOLLOW on Fox Network.


Carmen Wyatt Ross is a professional photographer. Attended Vancouver’s Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design majoring in photography with a degree in Fine Art and studies in, multimedia, and design.
